Updates for 12/12/19


  • Kansas: The Governor’s Council on Education made several workforce and education policy recommendations to Governor Laura Kelly at their final meeting of the year.

  • Alabama: Alan Smith has been named the new dean of workforce development at Gasden State Community College

  • Iowa: The Iowa Business Council (IBC) announced its 2020 state legislative priorities, which includes a major emphasis on addressing barriers to workforce development. See the list of priorities here. 

  • Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Wisconsin, Illinois, California, Texas, Arizona: A look at the states and regions where the use of robots in the workplace is most prevalent.

  • Maine and New Hampshire: An analysis of how Lanco Integrated has become more proactive in partnerships with local community and public colleges to recruit and develop a skilled workforce.
