Updates for 9/16/2020


Workforce Development: The U.S. Department of Labor announced today the availability of up to $40 million in funding in the Rural Healthcare Grant Program to address rural healthcare workforce shortages in communities across the country.


New York: Albany Technical College is seeking 50 adult students without high school diplomas for a unique pilot program before October 19. This program offers an innovative path for participants to obtain skills training in fields with higher salaries while at the same time earning a high school education.


Texas: Texas A&M University System, Blinn College dedicated a new $15 million workforce complex.


Tennessee: The Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development (TDLWD) is coordinating the statewide campaign “Learn Online. Graduate Online" to help adult learners earn their high school diploma equivalency online. 


Massachusetts: MassHire Franklin Hampshire Workforce Board selects Rebecca Bialeck as the new executive director.
